The backup alarm mounts at the rear area of JLG aerial work platforms, emitting an audible warning when the machine is shifted into reverse travel. Failure Impact
- A non-functioning backup alarm leaves the machine with no audible reverse warning, increasing struck-by risk for ground personnel.
- Jobsites may fail audible-warning inspection requirements if the reverse alarm is missing or silent.
- The reverse signal circuit remains active without sound output, creating a false sense of safety near the moving machine.
- Fleet documentation and safety audits may record the missing alarm as a non-compliance item, adding administrative burden.
- All items are stocked for quick dispatch.
